CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The combination of upper level low pressure to our west and high pressure to our southeast will drive Tropical Storm Laura toward either the upper Texas coast or the western part of the Louisiana coast where the current forecast track is now.

Either way the Coastal Bend will have no direct impact from Laura under this scenario.

Expect higher than normal tides, dangerous rip current risk, and very hot temperatures the rest of this week.

Tonight we will have fair skies with nearly calm conditions and a low of 75.

Tuesday expect more sun, less rain, light winds and hotter with only a stray shower and a high of 95.

Tuesday night will be mostly clear and calm with a low of 75 again.

Wednesday, expect only a stray shower. Otherwise, variable sunshine, continued hotter with light winds and a high of 97.

The heat index will be near 110 degrees each afternoon.
