Morning Showers Possible

Posted

CORPUS CHRISTI – We could see another round of showers and thunderstorms developing across the Coastal Bend this morning. A flash flood watch continues for most of the area through early this afternoon. Some areas could pick up another 1 to 3 inches. The heaviest rainfall is likely to occur right along the coast. The forecast for today calls for mostly cloudy skies with morning showers possible. Look for an afternoon high around 81 degrees. The winds will be blowing out of the north at 10 to 15 miles per hour. Drier air will start to filter in late in the day. Tonight we can expect mostly cloudy skies with an overnight low of 67 degrees.

It should be a pretty decent Mother’s Day. We can expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds with an afternoon high around 82 degrees. The next storm system to impact South Texas will bring us another chance for showers and thunderstorms on Monday and Tuesday. The latter half of the work week should be partly sunny and dry. Expect daytime highs in the mid 80’s with overnight lows in the lower 70’s.
