We’ve had sunshine galore today in the Coastal Bend, all courtesy of high pressure that has taken over our weather pattern and promoted clear skies and very warm temperatures.
This trend will continue to stay with us throughout the weekend, however the high will eventually push to our east and the slightly drier air that is in place will quickly be reinforced by Saturday afternoon with Gulf moisture returning to the area.
Tonight, we’ll maintain clear skies, cool temperatures and light winds. Low: 61 Wind: Light & Variable
Friday we’ll continue to see lots of sunshine and above normal temperatures with highs in the upper 80s in the city of Corpus Christi and at or near 90 for our inland communities. Wind: NE 7-14 MPH
There are plenty of weekend festivities and activities going on including the Corpus Christi Rodeo and the Texas Sand Fest out in Port Aransas. Saturday and Sunday weather conditions will be ideal to be outdoors, just count on the sunshine being in full force and winds picking up to breezy levels out of the southeast around 15-20MPH.
A couple of frontal boundaries enter northern parts of the state early next week and that will increase winds to windy levels by Monday. That will stick with us for much of the week and result in more clouds and a small opportunity for a passing shower each day. Highs will continue to stay in the mid to upper 80s with lows in the 70s. Pretty mild for this time of year.
