It’s going to be a very pleasant start to our holiday weekend here in the Coastal Bend. Look for plenty of sunshine and warming temperatures this afternoon. The forecast for today calls for a daytime high near 80 degrees. The winds will be blowing out of the south at 10 to 15 miles per hour. The south wind will also help draw in more moisture. This will lead to some patchy to dense fog this evening. Expect an overnight low around 56 degrees. A weak cold front will roll through Sunday morning. This will bring us some rather breezy conditions and a bit cooler temperatures tomorrow. Look for an afternoon high around 71 degrees.
It’s going to remain pretty warm and cloudy for much of the holiday week ahead. Daytime highs will be be in the low to mid 70’s. The overnight lows will be in the 50’s and 60’s. A few isolated showers could pop up for the middle part of the week including Christmas Day. The winds will also be picking up Wednesday and Thursday ahead of the next front.
