CORPUS CHRISTI – We are waking up to another very cold morning here in the Coastal Bend. Temperatures are about 10 degrees colder than they were yesterday at this time. Most areas are reporting temperatures in the low 40’s with wind chill temperatures in the mid 30’s. We will abundant sunshine this afternoon with a little less wind than Saturday. The forecast for this afternoon calls for mostly sunny skies with a daytime high around 57 degrees. The winds will be blowing out of the north at 10 to 15 miles per hour. Tonight it will be mostly clear and cold with an overnight low around 39 degrees.
The cold air will be a bit slow to move out of South Texas. The forecast for Monday calls for mostly sunny skies with an afternoon high around 59 degrees. We will see a gradual warm up through the middle part of the workweek. Afternoon highs will be in the low to mid 70’s on Wednesday and Thursday. However, another cold front will blow in on Thursday evening. This will again bring us breezy and cooler weather as we move into next weekend. There is a slight chance of showers with the frontal passage.
