Our latest frontal boundary that came into the region late Friday and early Saturday brought some hefty rainfall totals, especially for inland and northern areas of the Coastal Bend.  A Flood Warning remains in effect for the Nueces River over at Bluntzer where the flood stage is at 18 feet and the current level as of 3PM is at 18.99 feet.  The river level is expected to stay at a minor flood stage until Wednesday before dropping down to around 16-17 feet.

Tonight, a cold and dry airmass will settle over the area and result in a cold night.  Overnight lows will bottom in the mid to upper 30s over a good portion of the area, except near the coast where temperatures will drop into the low 40s.  Winds will be around 6-12MPH so a wind chill early in the morning will feel like the mid to low 30s.

Abundant sunshine and cool temperatures will start the work week with a high of 60s.  Winds: NE 5-10MPH

Expect more sunshine on Tuesday, but temperatures will start to get milder as a southeasterly winds return.  This will lead to partly to mostly cloudy skies on Wednesday with a high of 75.

The next cold front is forecast to arrive on Thursday with lots of wind and not much in the rainfall department.  Besides a passing shower to our northeast, the front will move through dry with mainly sunny skies and windy conditions.  Winds will veer to the north-northwest around 15-25MPH sustained with gusts approaching 30-35MPH.

Wind will carry over into Friday, but sunshine will stick around Friday and Saturday before more clouds and a chance of rain picks up on Sunday.

Have a great week!
