CORPUS CHRISTI – It was a cloudy and chilly start to our weekend here in the Coastal Bend. Our daytime high was only 57 degrees this afternoon. We did pick up about a quarter of an inch of rain with some of the showers this morning. We had the winds blowing out of the northwest at 20 to 25 miles per hour for much of the day. A small craft advisory has been issued for our gulf waters through early tomorrow morning. The forecast for tonight calls for partly cloudy skies and cold conditions. Look for an overnight low around 41 degrees. It will be mostly sunny and cool on Sunday with an afternoon high around 57 degrees.

The chilly air mass will remain in place for the start to the workweek. Daytime highs will be in the low to mid 60’s with overnight lows around 40 degrees. We will see increasing clouds and warming temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday. Another cold front will move on Thursday night. There is a slight chance for a few showers with the frontal passage. This will bring us some cooler temperatures again as we move into next weekend.
