We are waking up to a few showers across parts of the Coastal Bend. The storms should become a bit more widespread this afternoon. We have abundant tropical moisture coming in from the Gulf. We also have a cold front approaching from the west. This could lead to some areas picking up some locally heavy rainfall. However, it doesn’t appear the rain will be nearly as heavy as last weekend. The front will stall over the area on Sunday. This will likely lead to more wet wet weather.

The forecast for today calls for mostly cloudy skies with showers and thunderstorms likely. We will see an afternoon high of 88 degrees. Wind will generally be light out of the south at 5 to 10 miles per hour. Tonight we can expect mostly cloudy skies with more showers likely . We will see an overnight low around 74 degrees. The showers will be a little less widespread on Sunday. Look for an afternoon high around 86 degrees tomorrow. A little drier weather is expected for the workweek ahead. Only isolated showers will be possible each afternoon with daytime highs right around 90 degrees. Expect overnight lows in the low to mid 70’s.
