CORPUS CHRISTI – Heavy rain continue to fall across portions of the Coastal Bend this evening. The flash flood watch has been extended for all of South Texas through tomorrow morning. Some of these storms could drop another one to two inches of rain or more. This is going to cause localized flooding in parts of the area. People should use extreme caution if getting out on the roadways this evening. The forecast for tonight calls for showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall. Expect an overnight low around 75 degrees. Winds will be out of the southeast at 5 to 15 miles per hour. The showers and thunderstorms will continue through the morning hours on Sunday. It should clear out a bit in the afternoon. Expect a daytime high around 88 degrees.

We will return to a more tranquil weather pattern for the workweek ahead. It will also be a little bit hotter and humid. Daytime highs will be in the lower 90’s with overnight lows in the mid 70’s. Isolated showers will be possible for the latter half of the week.
