CORPUS CHRISTI-We are looking for a very wet end to our weekend here in the Coastal Bend. The combination of abundant tropical moisture and a stalled frontal boundry will contribute to widespread showers and thunderstorms. A few of these storms could lead to some localized flooding. Many areas will receive between 2 and 3 inches of rain over the next couple of days. The forecast for todays calls for showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall possible. Look for a daytime high around 88 degrees. The winds will be light out of the northeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour. Tonight we can expect mostly cloudy skies with more showers possible. The forecast low will be around 73 degrees.

The clouds and rain will stick around for much of the week ahead. The heaviest rainfall amounts will likely be today and tomorrow. The showers will lead to below normal temperatures for most of the workweek. The daytime highs will be in the mid 80’s with overnight lows in the mid 70’s. A little drier air will filter in on Wednesday and Thursday.
