CORPUS CHRISTI-We are looking for another round of scattered showers across the Coastal Bend today. It will be hit and miss… But some of the storms could produce brief heavy rainfall. We will continue to see abundant tropical moisture through the end of the workweek. This means scattered showers will be likely through Friday. The rain will become a little less widespread as we head into the weekend.

The forecast for today calls for mostly cloudy skies with showers and thunderstorms. Look for an afternoon high around 90 degrees. The winds will be blowing out of the east at 10 to 15 miles per hour. Tonight we can expect mostly cloudy skies with a few showers possible. We will see an overnight low around 77 degrees. The weather pattern is not going to be changing much through the forecast period. Look for daytime highs in the lower 90’s with overnight lows in the mid 70’s. Tropical Storm Gordon will have little impact on our weather here in South Texas. We could see some increased surf and a higher risk of rip currents.
