CORPUS CHRISTI- It was a little drier and a little warmer for the start to our holiday weekend. We made it up to 92 degrees today with a trace of rain being reported out at the airport. It looks like the rain could be a little more widespread on Sunday. The forecast calls for partly sunny skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Look for a daytime high around 94 degrees. The winds will be light out of the southeast at 10 to 15 miles per hour. We can expect similar weather conditions for Labor Day.

A tropical wave is likely to move into the Gulf early next week. This could increase our rain chances significantly as people are heading back to work. It could also bring us a little higher surf. The best chance for rain will be Tuesday through Thursday. Daytime highs will be in the lower 90’s with overnight lows in the mid 70’s.
