CORPUS CHRISTI-We are stuck in a very hot and dry weather pattern here in the Coastal Bend. The forecast for today calls for mostly sunny skies with an afternoon high around 96 degrees. Expect heat index values to range from 105 to 109 degrees. The winds will pick up out of the southeast this afternoon around 10 to 15 miles per hour. Tonight we will see partly cloudy skies with an overnight low around 77. It is expected to be little more windy and warmer on Sunday. The forecast calls for an afternoon high tomorrow around 97 degrees with the winds blowing out of the southeast 15 to 20 miles per hour.
It is going to remain rather hot and humid for much of the workweek ahead. Look for daytime highs in the mid 90’s with overnight lows in the mid to upper 50’s. A weak front will stall to our north midweek. This will bring us a slight chance of showers on Wednesday. We may also see an increase in shower activity as we get closer to next weekend.
