Moderate to strong south to southeast wind and long period swell
will maintain a high risk for rip currents today along Gulf-
facing beaches of the Middle Texas Coast.

* IMPACTS…Strong rip currents are expected along Gulf-facing
beaches, especially near piers and jetties. These rip currents
are life-threatening to anyone entering the surf.
Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don’t swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
