Strong mid level high pressure continues to produce record heat
and will combine with elevated humidity producing extreme heat
indices Saturday afternoon across the eastern three coastal
counties.
* TEMPERATURE…Heat index values between 111 and 115, peaking
around mid afternoon.
* IMPACTS…Increased risk of heat-related illnesses including
Heat Exhaustion and Heat Stroke.
A Heat Advisory is issued when the heat index…a measure of how
it feels when temperature and humidity are combined…equals or
exceeds 111 for 2 hours or more during the day.
