Christus Spohn is thanking local paramedics for being great team members.
This is National E.M.S. Week. So, nurses and doctors with Christus Spohn are delivering baskets full of treats like chips, pretzels and cookies to fire stations in Corpus Christi, Alice, Kingsville, Beeville and other parts of the Coastal Bend.
This morning, they stopped by Fire Station #3 on the 1400 block of Morgan Avenue. That fire station serves a large portion of the city.
Spohn employees said they work with the paramedics from that station throughout the day and they wanted to make sure they felt appreciated.
Corpus Christi Fire Captain Eric Macleod was grateful for the surprise.
“I think it’s great to get the appreciation from Spohn. Both the Fire Department and Spohn work close together and have a great working relationship to benefit the City of Corpus Christi,” Macleod said.
By the way, Corpus Christi Fire Station #3 is the busiest fire station in the city. In fact, Firehouse Magazine named that fire station the sixth busiest fire station in the nation and the busiest fire station in Texas.
