Competition in the long awaited Youth World Sailing Championships began Monday morning along the bay front. Nearly 400 sailors from 66 countries are competing in this prestigious event.
They range in age from 13 to 18 and each is the national champion from their country. So basically, you have the very best of the best from around the world taking part.
A good wind blew for most of the day, so the sailors were extremely happy with the conditions.
