it may be July 9th, but you will find the Islander men’s basketball team working out. It is all part of a fairly new summer program the NCAA adopted a few short years ago allowing coaches to work with their players on the court three days a week during the hot summer months.
All 14 players on the roster are taking part in the workouts, they are also taking summer classes. They are getting a head start in both the classroom and on the court. But, it’s just not basketball these young men are learning.
