CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Miller Bucs football team was feted for their district-winning 2019 football season today.
The Nueces County Commissioners Court honored the Bucs with a proclamation.
The Bucs enjoyed a strong 12-1 season and a deep playoff run.
They along with Veterans Memorial played before a sold-out crowd at Buc Stadium on the day after Thanksgiving. That game was televised right here on KRIS 6.
That ballgame was the talk of the town.
Miller coach Justen Evans is gratified by his team’s huge season and the way it was celebrated by the city.
“We were overwhelmed by the support we received throughout our playoff run,” Evans said. “The best thing I was able to see was a city come together. Two awesome schools in our district. CCISD is an amazing district.”
