Excitement is building for Friday’s night’s big card when Top Rank Championship Boxing returns to the American Bank Center.

There will be nine bouts in all, but all eyes will be on Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez as he gets set to defend his WBO Super Middleweight title against Jesse “Hollywood” Hart in the main event.

Both fighters stepped on the scales today at the weigh-ins over at Brewster Street Icehouse.

This fight is a rematch from a year ago when Ramirez beat Hart by unanimous decision. And he expects the same result tomorrow night.

“Tomorrow night will be a great night for me because I want to raise my hand and let’s do it,” Ramirez said. “Right here in Corpus Christi for a second time.”

It should be a fun time at the American Bank Center. Tickets are still available for the card, which starts at 5:30 p.m.

The main event won’t start until after 9 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN Plus.
