Calallen has been successful with three previous playoff victories in San Antonio in the Class 5A Division II state playoffs so far this season.

It will be back to the Alamo City again Friday night for the Wildcats (13-1) who will square off with 14-0 Fort Bend Marshall. The game will be at 7:30 p.m. at Dub Farris Stadium on the city’s far north side.

Calallen has been impressive in all three previous games in San Antonio in the current playoffs after starting the playoffs with a 49-0 victory over Pharr Valley View at Calallen in the first round.

In their second playoff game on Nov. 23, the Wildcats stormed past Alamo Heights at Heroes Stadium, 63-35. The following week, they whipped Brenham, 42-13, at Comalander Stadium.

And they wrapped up their 12th trip to the state semifinals after a 48-17 triumph over Port Lavaca Calhoun last week. They have outscored opponents 202-65 in the playoffs, averaging 50.5 points per game.

The Class 5A Division II state semifinals will have no local over-the-air live coverage of the game. Our Friday Night Fever reporters will be there for all of the action with pregame coverage and highlights after the game.
