SAN PATRICIO COUNTY, Texas — Because of the climbing number of COVID-19 cases, San Patricio county, like other nearby counties, has issued a face mask order.
Beginning next Wednesday, July 1, anyone above the age of 10 must wear a face covering in any public area.
Businesses must also develop and implement a health and safety policy that will require employees and customers to wear masks when they're unable to social distance.
The order goes into effect at 12:01 a.m. on July 1 and will continue through 11:59 p.m. on July 31.
Those who violate the order could face a fine of up to $1,000.
