An early morning rollover accident sends two women to the hospital.
It happened right before 3:30am on NPID near Lexington Boulevard.
According to police the passenger in the SUV says the driver looked down at her cell phone for directions before colliding with a tree in a median. The vehicle then rolled over and landed upside down
Both the driver and passenger were able to crawl out of the SUV. They were then taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries are unknown at this time.
Corpus Christi police continue to investigate the crash.
