CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Fourth of July holiday is just over a week away and fireworks vendors are ready to help you celebrate with a bang.

This year, they're not just promoting fireworks safety. You'll notice some changes at some fireworks stands.

At a firework stand on FM 43, customers are asked to stand 6 feet from the stand until they are ready to make a purchase.

They are taking extra precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and still enjoy fireworks.

"We have our own gloves as you can see, masks, hand sanitizer, alcohol wipes," said Fireworks stand operator Jacob Gonzalez. "I'm just not only looking out for myself but I'm looking out for the customers that come by as well."

Jacob Gonzalez also asks that you wear a mask if you stop by his fireworks stand.
