Protests over the ongoing crisis at immigration detention centers were held Tuesday across the county.
The purpose of the protests was to call on Congress and government leaders to close migrant detention camps.
Demonstrators gathered outside a migrant detention center in Homestead, Florida as a congressional delegation arrived to inspect the center and investigate conditions inside.
In Miami, protesters gathered outside Senator Marco Rubio's office, carrying signs and calling on the republican senator to stop the hate.
Similar protests were also held in Palo Alto, California where large crowds filled the streets and in Birmingham, Alabama where protesters gathered outside a federal courthouse. voicing their opposition to "horrific conditions" at detention camps along the United States-Mexico border.
