A wild Asian elephant separated from his group and visited a town in southwest China yesterday (Sunday).
Footage from China’s state broadcaster shows the massive animal looking somewhat lost as he explores the downtown streets.
The broadcaster said authorities closely observed the elephant’s movements and it was finally led to safety.
The Asian elephant, a protected species in China, is the largest living land animal in Asia.
