CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Parents and caregivers can expect heavy traffic at area stores and shopping centers this weekend: They'll be packed with people taking advantage of the state's annual sales tax holiday
It runs through Sunday.
During that time, you won't have to pay sales tax on most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks --as long as they are priced below $100.
The sales tax holiday even applies to items bought online or from a catalog.
There will be an increased police presence at shopping centers over the weekend to keep everything running smoothly.
