According to a press release from the Laredo sector Border Patrol agents stopped a narcotic smuggling attempt.
On Wednesday, border patrol agents at the Laredo North Station noticed several individuals crossing the Rio Grande with black bundles.
As agents attempted to capture the individuals they dropped the bundles and fled back to Mexico.
Four bundles of marijuana weighed 287.7 lbs., with a street value of $230,160.
