TAFT, Texas — There's been a shakeup at Taft City Hall where the search is on for a new city manager.
Taft’s current city manager, Denise Hitt, was voted out of office by the city council at their last meeting.
Hitt was dismissed for a lack of confidence.
She'll remain on the job until the first of the year.
Despite her dismissal, Taft Mayor Pedro Lopez did credit Hitt for helping the town go from a negative budget to a positive one.
