A baby was found buried inside of a flower pot inside of a Carrollton, Texas cemetery, and police are asking for the public’s help in figuring out who she is.
In a media release yesterday, the Carrollton Police Department said a baby girl, likely born premature, was discovered by a cemetery caretaker as he was emptying out the flower pot on March 11.
Police say the girl was determined to be between 34 and 40 weeks old, weighing under six pounds, with the umbilical cord still attached.
According to information provided to the police by the caretaker, the flowerpot was placed at the cemetery between Feb. 27 and March 2.
Officers say their immediate priority is to identify the infant girl to ensure she receives a proper burial.
