As the midterm elections get closer, the endorsements and rallies get more frequent and more important. That includes the Texas senate race.
While President Donald Trump has promised to campaign for incumbent Ted Cruz in Texas, Willie Nelson announced he will headline a rally for Beto O’Rourke in Austin.
The “Turn Out for Texas Rally with Willie Nelson’ is set for September 29 at Auditorium Shores in Austin.
This won’t be the first time O’Rourke and Nelson have shared a stage together. O’Rourke tweeted a video of himself on stage playing with Nelson in early July.

This will mark the first time Texas legend Willie Nelson has campaigned for a political candidate.
Meanwhile, Trump posted on Twitter that he will pick the “biggest stadium in Texas we can find” to hold a rally for Ted Cruz.
I will be doing a major rally for Senator Ted Cruz in October. I’m picking the biggest stadium in Texas we can find. As you know, Ted has my complete and total Endorsement. His opponent is a disaster for Texas – weak on Second Amendment, Crime, Borders, Military, and Vets!

A location or date still has not been set for that rally.
