At least 27 people have been rescued after a flash flood hit a campground site near San Antonio.
Helicopters were used to drop life jackets to people stranded by rising water in Chalk Bluff Park near Uvalde.
Nine inches of rain fell in Uvalde County within three hours, according to the National Weather Service.
No serious injuries were reported.
