WASHINGTON, D.C. — A Netflix movie has caused an outrage across the country.
U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz is now joining other lawmakers in calling for a criminal investigation.
The senator sent a letter to the U.S. Justice Department on Friday demanding an investigation into the production of the film "Cuties."
Cruz wants the Department of Justice to determine if federal laws were broken, claiming the film *sexualizes young children and appeals to pedophiles.”
Cruz goes on to say that the first amendment provides protection for artistic protection, but “it does not allow individuals or for-profit corporations to produce or distribute child pornography.”
