FLORIDA (NBC) – Police got extra help from an unusual group of four-legged friends to help track down a suspected car thief.

A herd of cows managed to corral one of the suspects who strayed on to their turf!

It all started when police spotted a stolen SUV and tried to stop it.

But the driver kept going, ran a stop sign and crashed into a ditch. One person in the car stayed at the scene, while the driver and passenger hoofed it toward a pasture.

That’s when about 20 cows got involved corralling the passenger and eventually herding her to authorities.

The pair are charged with drug possession, resisting arrest, trespassing and petty theft.

Police often turn to the public to help capture suspects on the run. However, police with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office in Florida got some extra help from a herd of cows that chased down a suspect who was running from police!
