CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — We’ve got an update on that leak aboard an unmanned offshore platform out on Padre Island earlier this week.
KRIS 6 News has learned that work is expected to get underway this weekend to repair that leak.
Crews and equipment will be transported to the platform tomorrow so work can begin.
Officials say the leak is composed of natural gas, naturally occurring condensate and water.
They say it poses no danger to the public.
