ARANSAS PASS, TEXAS — A woman has been charged following a fatal truck versus pedestrian crash that left one man dead.
The crash happened at approximately 2:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Goodnight and Commercial Street.
Aransas Pass police said the pedestrian was walking on the sidewalk, pushing his bicycle, and holding his belongings. Officers believe the truck veered off the roadway west -- onto the sidewalk -- hit the pedestrian.
The victim is identified as 49-year-old Christopher Borden from Aransas Pass.
Police made an arrest Friday night. According to Aransas Pass police, 31-year-old Heather Dean is accused of taking reckless action while operating the truck that struck and killed the victim.
Investigators say at this time, they will not release further details or factors in this crash.
