CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Three years ago today, Corpus Christi awoke to find the remnants from a rare snowstorm.
That's right. Snow in Corpus Christi, as amazing as that was.
It was the most significant accumulation our area had seen in many years. Some scattered areas reported up to 7 inches of snow, although the official accumulation at Corpus Christi International Airport was reported at 1 inch.
It was enough for many Coastal Benders to fling snowballs, make snow ice cream and even create a snowman or two.
