The City of Corpus Christi announced water rate changes went into effect Jan. 1.
The new across-the-board rates were approved in September 2019, and apply to all accounts.
For example, the city said most customers use between 3,000 and 5,000 gallons a month, so, as an example, residential customers who use 3,000 gallons of water are subject to a $.56 increase.
|Monthly Usage||Current||Jan. 1 rates||Increase|
|3,000 gallons||$22.03||$22.59||$ .56|
|4,000 gallons||$29.37||$30.12||$ .75|
|5,000 gallons||$36.71||$37.65||$ .94|
