CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — If you're still commuting over the harbor bridge, expect some lane closures next week. The Texas Department of Transportation plans to reduce lanes starting Tuesday through Friday. The closures are for traffic control required for a scheduled bridge inspection.
On Tuesday, April 14 and Wednesday, April 15, two outside lanes going northbound on US 181 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. That means one lane will be open. The southbound lanes will not be affected these two days.
The roadwork will be switched on Thursday, April 16 and Friday, April 17. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., two outside main lanes will be closed going southbound. One lane will stay open. The northbound lanes will all be open as well.
TxDOT advises that drivers find an alternative route or prepare for delays.
