Two people treated after late Wednesday afternoon fire

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Two homeless people, who firefighters said they started a fire, were treated by medics when the fire got out of control.

The incident happened inside an abandon home in Flour Bluff, near the intersection of Admiral and Lakeside Drive.

According to Nueces County ESD #2 Chief Dale Scott, the fire broke out just before 5:59 p.m. Wednesday.

First responders said the two homeless people were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.

Their injuries were non-life threatening.

Fire investigators are determining if they are going to face charges.
