CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The fifth annual Coastal Bend Suicide Prevention Symposium kicks off Thursday at the Del Mar College East Campus.
Courtney Smith-Chavez, director of BHS outreach, met with KRIS 6 Noon anchor Paulo Salazar to discuss this very important two-day event offering some valuable information.
She will describe how suicide prevention got started. The first day of the event is geared to the public with the second one tailored for professionals.
The first part begins at 5:30 p.m. Thursday with the second part at 8 a.m. Friday. It will be held at the E.L. Harvin Student Center at 101 Baldwin Blvd.
