CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Are you ready for the summer games?
We're not talking about the Olympics in Tokyo, which of course will be shown here on KRIS-TV this summer.
These games will be played here in Corpus Christi.
The city’s Parks and Recreation Department announced this morning the return of the Games of Texas.
Corpus Christi last hosted the games back seven years ago in 2013.
As many as 10,000 athletes are expected to take part in Games of Texas.
They'll run from July 30 until Aug. 2.
Thirteen sports will be featured at venues across the city.
Some of the games will include track and field, baseball, beach volleyball, golf, water polo and many more.
