CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Triumph Over Kid Cancer hosted their sixth Annual Thanksgiving dinner for patients, their families, doctors and hospital staff at Driscoll Children’s Hospital.
The event was a drive-thru due to the pandemic, but that didn’t stop volunteers from bringing a smile to the faces of dozens of children and their families.
“I've always been passionate about giving back to our cancer kids that go through a lot, especially during this time. just really gives me a new perspective and makes me feel good,” said Veteran’s Memorial High School volunteer Teresa Esparza.
Over twenty high school students volunteered to serve and distribute meals, welcome children and their families and pass out gifts.
