The state issued a warning today about price gouging on medical supplies.
Gov. Greg Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton issued a joint statement saying if extensive reports of price gouging are received, the attorney general can be granted broader powers to prosecute those cases.
The governor said price-gouging is un-Texan, and any attempt to exploit public health and safety for monetary gain will not be tolerated.
