Because there's been a series of auto burglaries in Corpus Christi recently.
On. Oct. 16 in Flour Bluff, a male suspect was breaking into a vehicle when the homeowner confronted him.
The homeowner tried to stop and restrain the suspect and that's when a second suspect shot at the homeowner.
Two days later in the southside area, police were called out in reference to burglars breaking into several cars.
A homeowner chased one of the suspects until one of the suspects fired a shot in their direction.
Two situations turned dangerous after the victims tried to confront the burglars.
Today, we’ll speak to the police department about how you can stay safe in a situation like this.
