UPDATE: Flour Bluff ISD is reporting that power was restored to its schools at around 9:20 a.m.
AEP Texas is reporting that only 100 or fewer customers still are lacking power.
ORIGINAL STORY: Flour Bluff is experiencing a power outage district-wide, but has not announced that it is dismissing classes.
The district took to its social media channels to let parents know that they are in contact with AEP-Texas about the incident, which reportedly began at 8:21 a.m.
The district is not the only affected in the area: 2,313 customers have reported outages.
Power is expected to be restored 10:30 a.m.
