CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — A pick-up truck driver was sent to the hospital after his vehicle rear-ended a TEX-DOT vehicle.
The crash happened around 11:20 a.m. Monday along the southbound lanes of the Crosstown Expressway near Saratoga Boulevard.
According to police, the pickup truck driver looked down and something fell in his lap and while he was looking down, he rear-ended the vehicle in front of him.
The truck rolled over after the crash. Investigators added the TEX-DOT vehicle was not moving at the time of the collision.
The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital and he sustained non-life threatening injuries. TEX-DOT crews did not receive any injuries from the crash.
