CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Corpus Christi Police Department has identified the four officers who were involved in Sunday night's shooting that left a 22-year-old man dead.
Officer Phillip Peterson, a four-year veteran, is identified as the only one who fired his weapon.
The other officers are Antonio Contreras, Zakquery Rodgers and Jimmy Leal.
Contreras is a three-year veteran, Rodgers and Leal have been with the department for one year. All four are on administrative leave.
They were responding to a disturbance call when they found 22-year-old Emilio Mojica.
He was carrying a baseball bat and, according to the officers, was acting aggressively.
Mojica refused to drop the bat, even after he was tasered. That's when fired several shots.
