CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Big plans are in the works for the Corpus Christi Marina.
On Wednesday, City Manager Peter Zanoni introduced Jonathan Atwood as the city's new Marina Manager.
The marina is nearly 80-years and an iconic part of the city.
It has been damaged by recent storms and is in need of several improvements.
Some of the plans for the Marina Capital Improvement project include replacing the boater facilities on the T-heads and the piers.
The city is still working on the plan.
How much it will cost to modernize and repair the marina is unknown.
