CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Members of the Naval Junior Recruit Officers Training Course from eight different schools across the district met at Moody High School today for a drill meet.

The format had to be changed due to COVID-19, so all cadets and staff were wearing masks and socially distancing where they could.

The entire meet was organized by NJROTC staff at Moody High School.

“So here at Moody High School NJROTC, we decided to put on a drill meet, because of covid this year a lot of the drill meets for NJROTC units have been canceled or postponed, but our drill teams have still been practicing after school so we wanted to give an opportunity for our cadets to compete against other schools,” said Moody naval science instructor CDR. Scott Outlaw.

Trophies were awarded to first, second and third place cadets, and each cadet received a competition ribbon to wear on their uniforms.
